Aim
This workshop aims at introducing you to the fundamental principles of Drone Photography.
You will explore tips and techniques from the Brighton based award winning travel photographer Solly Levi (www.sollylevi.com).
Drone photography has been the fastest growing photography trend in recent years.
Using drones you can get up high to photograph landscapes, cityscapes, real estate and weddings. Or even yourself from very very far up.
For a beginner, flying a drone can be difficult. If you add another layer of complexity – taking pictures or filming video footage – it can become unmanageable. The last thing you want to do is crash your drone on its inaugural flight! Before you ever start taking pictures or videos, my first recommendation is to understand how your drone works. If you are still learning about the buttons on your transmitter, it is way too early to start taking pictures.
Join us in this workshop and Solly will show you how he works and give you tips on editing. He will show you how to compose and frame before shooting and the editing process.
Visualizing the perfect scene in creating fine art images BEFORE you click the shutter is one of the MOST IMPORTANT steps for improving your photography!
Taking great photos is 50% of the process, the rest is editing in Lightroom in Solly's case where you create an image that you are happy with. Solly will show you the step by step process that he uses in some of his photos.
No need to own a drone to attend the workshop.
