"I recently completed Eva’s 1-to-1 Photography Life Coaching Programme - ’The PHOS System’ - in which Eva deftly uses photography as a framework within which she uses life coaching techniques to enable students to better understand both themselves but particularly who they are (and who they want to be) as photographers.
I came into the programme with a strong and long-held belief that I was neither artistic nor creative, but I got to the point where I was too tired with the ‘story’ and wanted a shift from mimicry to finding my own voice.
Following an initial conversation with Eva to discuss the commitment the course would require; I saw the opportunity to shift my attitudes.
Through a series of activities Eva used a variety of approaches, including the EVA Method (you’ll need to do the programme), to help me take time to recognise the barriers I put in my way that prevents me from generating ideas or just simply picking up a camera.
I am now able to apply further techniques that enables me to put these negative attitudes to one side and enjoy the creative process. As a result, not only am I taking more photographs than before, but I’m now happy to experiment, fail, try again, be surprised, discover new ways of creating images and be able to create by choice.
